    TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION CONTINUATION ORDER 2021

               Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 Section 14(1)         .

     

    ORDER continuing the prohibition of the use by vehicles of the Thiefgate Lane from its junction with Mill Road for 650m northwards in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS

     

    1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order and whereas the Norfolk County Council as Traffic Authority for the Administrative County of Norfolk is satisfied that:-

     

    (i)         NCC recycling carriageway works continue to be required at the Thiefgate Lane from its junction with Mill Road for 650m northwards in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS (hereinafter referred to as the said road) and:

     

    (ii)        that in consequence, traffic over the said road should continue to be prohibited with effect from 7th to 10th August 2021 (previously 2nd to 6th August 2021) for the duration of the works expected to be about 4 days within the period.

     

    1. Nothing in Article 1 of this Order shall make it unlawful for a vehicle which requires access, to proceed to a final destination situated within the length of road specified in Article 1 of this Order.

     

    1. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Order the operational period of this Order may become extended to allow completion of the works. This Order has a maximum duration of 18 months and will be revoked upon completion of the works.

     

     

    NOW THEREFORE the Norfolk County Council DO HEREBY ORDER, that with effect from 7th to 10th August 2021 for the duration of the works the said road SHALL CONTINUE TO NOT BE USED by any class of vehicle.

    TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTION 2021

    Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 – Section 14(2)

    In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to NCC recycling carriageway works the use by vehicles of Thiefgate Lane from its junction with Mill Road for 650m northwards in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS will be temporarily prohibited from 2nd to 6th August 2021 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 5 days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 5 days.

    Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Lynn Road, High Road, Low Road, Thiefgate Lane.

    In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

    Cllr Mary Fredisdottir has signed up to the Keep Britain Tidy campaign and arranged a village litter pick.

    Meet at the Village Hall at 11.30, a quick safety brief and suggested routes will be given.

    An hour of your time to smarten up the appearance of the village ready for the summer!

    Please contact Mary to let her know if you would like to participate, limited litter picking equipment available to borrow, so wear a light clothing if you don’t have hi-viz and bring gloves, gardening gloves and or rubber gloves.

  • Temporary Traffic Order affecting Mill Road 14th to 16th June 2021

    NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting Mill Road from 200m northeast of its junction with Lynn Road for 40m north-eastwards in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS because of Anglian Water chamber and cover replacement works.

    The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 14th to 16th June 2021 for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

    Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Lynn Road, Fitton Road, Watlington Road, St Peters Road, Station Road, Church Road (Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalen, Watlington, Wiggenhall St. Germans)

    (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

     ORDER prohibiting the use by vehicles of Thiefgate Lane/Low Road from its junction with High Road roundabout to its junction with Mill Road in the PARISH OF SADDLEBOW

     

    1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order and whereas the Norfolk County Council as Traffic Authority for the Administrative County of Norfolk is satisfied that:-
    • Norfolk County Council recycling carriageway works are required at Thiefgate Lane/Low Road from its junction with High Road roundabout to its junction with Mill Road in the PARISH OF SADDLEBOW (hereinafter referred to as the said road) and:

    (ii)        that in consequence traffic over the said road should be prohibited with effect from 4th May 2021 to 8th May 2021 for the duration of the works expected to be about 5 days within the period.

     ORDER prohibiting the use by vehicles of Fitton Road from a point 259 metres south west of its junction with Lynn Road for a distance of 1030 metres south westwards         in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS

     

    1. Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order and whereas the Norfolk County Council as Traffic Authority for the Administrative County of Norfolk is satisfied that:-
    • BT works to re-route services are required at Fitton Road from a point 259 metres south west of its junction with Lynn Road for a distance of 1030 metres south westwards in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST GERMANS (hereinafter referred to as the said road) and:

    (ii)        that in consequence traffic over the said road should be prohibited with effect between 08:00 and 17:00 hours from 4th May 2021 to 6th May 2021 for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

    1. Nothing in Article 1 of this Order shall make it unlawful for a vehicle which requires access, to proceed to a final destination situated within the length of road specified in Article 1 of this Order.
    2. This Order has a maximum duration of 18 months and will be revoked upon completion of the works. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Order the operational period of this Order may become extended to allow completion of the works after obtaining consent of the Secretary of State.

    NOW THEREFORE the Norfolk County Council DO HEREBY ORDER, that with effect between 08:00 and 17:00 hours from 4th May 2021 to 6th May 2021 for the duration of the works the said road SHALL NOT BE USED by any class of vehicle.

    Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 – Section 14(2)

    In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to Anglian Water repairing a leak the use by vehicles of the Magdalen High Road from 750m east of its junction with High Road for 50m eastwards in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST MARY will be temporarily prohibited from  9th to 15th March 2021 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 7 days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 21 days.

    Alternative route is via: Magdalen High Road, Lords Bridge, Common Road, Sluice Road, School Road, Fitton Road (Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdalen/ Wiggenhall St. Germans).

    (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order)

    Notice is given that the Secretary of State for Transport has approved the continuing in force for the period set out below of an Order made by the Norfolk County Council under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, prohibiting the use by the public of the undermentioned footpath:

    Wiggenhall St Mary The Virgin Footpath 1 from its junction with Eau Brink Road for a distance of 1280 metres south westwards to its junction with Church Road in the PARISH OF WIGGENHALL ST MARY THE VIRGIN

    Period of extension 1st March 2021 to 1st August 2021

    The alternative route is via: Wiggenhall St Germans Footpath 2, Sluice Road, Church Road (Wiggenhall St Germans).

    Persons who contravene the Order will be liable, on conviction, to a fine.
