    Dear Parish Clerk,

I noticed this morning Monday the 10th Feb 20 the erection of a fence across the public right of way next to the white house by the river bank behind the building which was known as the 3 Tuns. The right of way leads from Fitton Rd behind 2 Lynn Rd to the river bank. I would like to know if the individual has the right to erect this fence. I believe not and this could be the thin edge of the wedge. I can only guess that it was the owners of the old 3 Tuns who constructed the fence. Could you look into this matter on behalf of a lot of parishioners who use this right of way.

    Many Thanks

    Good Afternoon,

Thank you to the Parish council for all their hard work.
I note that a lot of acronyms are used within the minutes. Whilst we are guilty of using them in out various professional capacities, it is difficult to follow in minutes if there has not been full use of the tittles first.
It would be most helpful to myself, and I suspect other members of the public, to have the full titles used at least once.

      Dear Karen,
Fair point, I will endeavour to follow your advice when I use acronyms, I’m sure you appreciate that there are a lot and indeed many are such high frequency use that if you challenged most councillors and clerks they won’t know what they stand for but they know what they are… Coming from a military background I am doing by best to civilianise. Thank you for taking the time to read them and if there are any in particular that I can decypher for you please don’t hesitate

Has the Parish considered contacting various village in order to coordinate a response to the virus situation. The Parish Church has set up a group of volunteers to assist with shopping, telephone calls etc.
I do not know of any other organisations have made a response but I would have thought that the Council was the ideal organisation
    to spearhead such initiatives

The Church and Parish Council have recently joined efforts as you can see on the home page there is a COVI-19 header. In addition I am Parish Clerk at Shouldham and Boughton and I am involved it the coordination of the mutual aid groups there. I am also in touch with the Borough Council, County Council and Norfolk Assn of Local Councils where information is sent from on a regular basis which I update on the Covid page. In addition I live in Marham and I am sharing experience with their mutual aid group and Downham Market’s. So behind the scenes I think you will agree we have it pretty well covered. The next push is for more volunteers to start doing a wider range of help within the village (See the COVID 19 Mutual Aid page).

Thanks for the prompt reply, I was not aware that the PC had joined forces with the church group and were coordinating the efforts. Good luck in securing more volunteers as it is important that we all stand together in the face of this tribulation.

We’re wondering if you’ve ever considered taking the content from norfolkparishes.gov.uk and converting it into videos to promote on social media platforms such as Youtube?

It’s another ‘rod in the pond’ in terms of traffic generation, as so many people use Youtube.

You can read a bit more about the software here: https://bit.ly/3gcMViF

    Kind Regards,
